Aging:Weapons

What is Weapon Aging? Weapon aging tracks how many times you’ve used or swung your weapon in combat. Some equipment displays an Age stat, such as Age: 123, followed by a Magistone Chance: 1%. This stat is most common on weapons with a dust rate and shows how many uses the weapon has seen. The Age stat influences the drop chance of a Magistone when dismantling the weapon. The higher the weapon’s age, the greater the chance of receiving a Magistone. Currently, the primary purpose of weapon aging is to increase your chance of obtaining Magistones during dismantling.

What is a Magistone & why do I want them? A Magistone is a concentrated accumulation of dust particles absorbed by your weapon over time. As your weapon consumes dust, it stores these particles, eventually forming Magistones. Higher-tier metals allow weapons to contain more Magistones, which means more rolls for success when dismantling! As you continue to age your weapon, the particles become more concentrated, increasing the Magistone drop chance. Interestingly, weapons with lower dust rates have a higher Magistone chance, as they absorb dust more frequently.

Magistones are crucial for advanced crafting and upgrading. In the future, their uses will expand even further, making them a highly valuable resource.

Tips

  • Upgrading your weapon reduces your Magistone drop chance, as upgrades increase the weapon’s dust rate.
  • Higher-tier metals have a larger Magistone quantity, meaning more rolls for success!
