**Geomancy Skill** **What is Geomancy?** Geomancy is a skill in which the players can create their own unique dungeons that consist of a maze randomly generated and filled with enemies of a specific level. By a mixture of Beads, Heartgems, and a single meat, players can use Geomancy to create the item '[[Geomancy_Earthkeys|Earthkey]]'. When sacrificed on a dungeon map, an Earthkey will be destroyed and will generate the maze and enemies based on the information contained inside the Earthkey. Geomancy is a highly valued skill to have. Not only can it be used for efficient leveling, but for great riches and rewards. Earthkeys are the only way in which a player can continue to level past endgame to no limit. **How do I use Geomancy?** The Geomancy menu can be brought up by opening your 'Crafting' menu and clicking on the 'Geomancy' button. Once open, you should see something along the lines of this: {{ ::geomancy.jpg?600 |}} Lets break it down, starting with the top. ===Earthkey Mods=== {{:earthkeymods.jpg?200|}} Our 'Modifiers'. Up to 3 Modifiers can be added into the creation of an Earthkey. Modifiers will tweak your Earthkey to an assortment of possibilities! Want more gold? Perhaps lower walls in the maze? How about NO walls? There will be many different types of modifiers that can even be used in strategic ways to decide the type of dungeon you want, weather its for gold farming or leveling up dodge! See [[Geomancy_Modifiers|Modifiers]] for a list of modifiers. ===Meat Selection=== {{:meatselection.jpg?300|}} Our meat selection. By clicking the drop down box, you can choose the type of meat you want to use in the creation of your Earthkey. Choosing 'Minotaur' will create an Earthkey filled with minotaurs!. Spiders more your style? Selecting Spider will create a Spider filled Earthkey! By selecting 'Minotaur' for slot 1 and 'Spider' for slot 2, your dungeon will be filled with both! Up to 3 can be chosen if you so wish. Using the same meat 3 times has no effect and would just be considered wasteful, although this may change in the future. All meats can be obtained from killing the corresponding type of creature. ===Beads=== {{:beads.jpg?200|}} Here we have our 'Beads' selection. By clicking the up arrow on a specific bead category, you can choose the quantity of that bead you wish to use for the Earthkey. The more quantity of bead used, the deeper the depth goes. By using a stronger bead you can make the craft easier to succeed while at the same time increasing the depth further. Your depth for the Earthkey is equivalent to the level of creatures spawned, ie 100 depth = level 100 creatures. The 'Power' of beads is as follows: *Plain Bead:1 *Marbled Bead:2 *Shiny Bead:3 *Translucent Bead:4 *Glimmering Bead:5 Feel free to play around with your Geomancy craft menu numbers to see the corresponding level of creatures that the crafted earthkey would contain! All beads can be purchased from a town merchant. ===Heart Gems=== {{:heartgems.jpg?200|}} As with the beads, heart gem quantity can be selected in the same way. Heart gems act as a multiplier towards the total power of beads. If you find yourself struggling with crafting an Earthkey, using Heart Gems can increase the depth of your dungeon while making you use less beads, thereby decreasing the task difficulty and making it easier to succeed in the craft! As is with beads, using higher powered heart gems will make the craft even easier and add even more depth to your Earthkey. Heart gems can be obtained by killing the boss (Sentinel) at the exit point in every Earthkey. Stronger Heart Gem's can be obtained the deeper the depth. The 'Power' of heart gems is as follows: *Plain Heartgem:1 *Marbled Heartgem:2 *Shiny Heartgem:3 *Translucent Heartgem:4 *Glimmering Heartgem:5 *Fiery Heartgem:6 Again, feel free to play around with the numbers to see for yourself how it works! ===Geo Information=== {{:geoinformation.jpg?200|}} Finally, we have our 'Geo Information'. This is exactly what it sounds like, the information the Earthkey will contain upon successful crafting. Once you've filled out a meat and bead selection, the information should populate. You will see: *The 'Depth' of the Earthkey. *The 'Mob Count' of enemies that will spawn. *The 1/2/3 type (meat) of creatures that will spawn as well as its level (matches depth) *The 'Workvalue Required' will show the amount of workvalue that must be hit in order to successfully craft the Earthkey. *The 'Workvalue Hit' will show the amount of workvalue you hit after you attempted to craft the Earthkey. *The 'EXP Cutoff' indicates the point at which you no longer gain experience from crafting a key if your 'hit' work value exceeds that threshold. **How do I level up Geomancy?** To level up Geomancy, you will continue to gain experience as long as: *The Earthkey succeeded in crafting *Your 'Workvalue Hit' did not exceed the 'EXP Cutoff'. A key that is too easy to craft will not help you raise your level, you must strive to reach new depths to be rewarded! You will need many beads and meats to level up Geomancy.
